Federal and State Tax Information
In 2025, you will file taxes for the 2024 calendar year. Most taxpayers will file Form 1040, and depending on your situation, you may have to complete Schedules 1, 2, and/or 3 (available for download on the IRS 1040 information page) in the event that you received unemployment benefits, are self-employed, or are seeking an education or foreign tax credit. All forms are included in the printed packets available at the library while supplies last.
While we've listed and linked to PDF forms for your convenience, we recommend you go straight to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) pages and download directly from there to ensure you are receiving the most current forms and their corresponding instructions.
Please note that this page does not constitute tax advice; please consult with a tax professional.
The tax deadline for 2025 is Tuesday, April 15th.
