Volunteer
Wilmette Public Library has opportunities for volunteering from time to time throughout the library. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the general Wilmette Public Library Volunteer Application and submit to Human Resources manager Michael Boone.
Volunteer applicants ages 18 and older will be required to successfully complete our background check process.
Teen Volunteers for Summer Reading Club
Do you enjoy helping younger kids and talking to them about summer reading? Do you want to help at programs or in our maker space, The Studio? Apply to volunteer with Wilmette Public Library’s Summer Reading Club. Volunteers should be entering grades 9-12 in the fall. Applications are due by April 15, 2025. Volunteer with the Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Wilmette Public Library are a volunteer organization established to support library projects. Volunteer opportunities are available with the Friends, including positions at Books Down Under, Wilmette’s only bookstore. For more information about the Friends of the Library, visit their website.
