Teen Book Review: Winter Holiday

This winter I read the book Winter Holiday by Arthur Ransome. It is in the series Swallows and Amazons. It is about two families that go to live at a lake house with an island during the breaks. The kids are very imaginative and go on lots of adventures. In this book it is winter and the lake is frozen over. Right when their winter holiday is coming to an end, one of the kids get the measles and they all get to stay for two more weeks. In learning to skate, making sledges, and sneaking into a houseboat, they prepare for their final expedition to the “north pole”.
