Read a book of your choice and write a personal letter to the author about what the book means to you. Submit your letter for the chance to win a cash prize and a plaque from the Illinois Secretary of State, plus winning letters will be published! Entry forms are available in in the Teen Room, but you can also find them at the Letters About Literature contest site. You can also read past winning letters for inspiration. The deadline to enter is December 15, 2024, and the contest is judged in three tiers: grades 4-6, grades 7-8, and grades 9-12.

Good luck!
