Ritvik recommends Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. Here’s his review:

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo is the first book of a two-part series about a group of street thugs that must pull off a deadly heist to save the world from destruction. The book takes place in a world where there are certain individuals, called Grisha, that possess magical abilities. The abilities vary from controlling someone’s heartbeat to manipulating any physical object to controlling fire, wind, and water. A new drug is being created that enhances the powers of Grisha and if it lands in the wrong hands, it could mean the end of the world. Kaz Brekker and his gang must ensure that this drug is kept safe and get their pay at the end of the day.

I really liked this book for its fast-paced action and witty humor at times. It was a well written book that kept you interested the entire time. I couldn’t put it down and loved every part of it. There is another series that takes place in the same universe, Shadow and Bone, but is not related plot-wise to Six of Crows. And there is a show on Netflix that combines the plot lines of both Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows
