Notice / Invitation to Bid

By authority of the Board of Library Trustees, sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on August 4, 2023, by the Board of Library Trustees of the Wilmette Public Library for the installation of a new building automation system. Any bids received after 2:00 p.m. will not be accepted. The project consists of a new building automation system software, connections, programming, testing, and training. 

Responses shall be submitted in duplicate on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope marked as noted within the Bidding Documents on the outside and addressed to: Anthony Auston, Library Director, 1242 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091. Responses are to be mailed or hand delivered to Wilmette Public Library

A mandatory pre-bid site conference and walk-through for contractors will be held on July 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091. 

Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Board of Library Trustees of Wilmette Public Library equal to 10% of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful bidder. 

The Board of Library Trustees of the Wilmette Public Library (the Owner) reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, or waive any technicalities and irregularities in the bidding, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional Bids or counter-proposals that are in the opinion of the Owner, to be in the best interest of the Owner. 

All bidders must comply with the applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages, and bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor and bidding, including Equal Opportunity Laws. 

Bidding documents which include Project Manual and Project Plans will be on file and may be obtained by bidders on June 30, 2023,, for electronic distribution through BHFX Planroom website: http://www.bhfxplanroom.com.
