A world-wide network of information

Through the Wilmette Public Library, you have access to dozens of proprietary databases, providing comprehensive access to a wide range of subjects from thousands of magazines and a select number of newspapers. Many of these databases contain the full text of magazine and newspaper articles and directory entries.

All of the databases listed below are available to all users within the Library. You may also access most of the databases over the Internet from your home computer if you have a Wilmette Public Library card.

If you have difficulty accessing any of the remote databases from home it may be a question of whether you have enabled your browser to accept third-party cookies. In some cases, the security settings on your computer may be blocking the database. If you have difficulty accessing any of our databases, contact the WPL Reference desk at 847/256-6935.
