tweensThe Wilmette Public Library offers programs for kids in grades 5–8. The Kids’ Library Council meets regularly to do art, technology, and book-related activities and also to plan events and spaces for the Library. We also offer technology programs and occasional special interest activities.

  • Kids' Library Council: Cardboard Challenge
    When: Monday, May 08, 2017 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
    Where: Youth Program Room

    You dream it, you build it! Create your own large and small cardboard structures. Also, help plan library spaces and programs for kids in grades 5-8. Snacks will be served. Grades 5-8. Sign-up starts April 24 for Wilmette & Kenilworth residents, May 1 for nonresidents.
  • Kids' Library Council
    When: Monday, June 19, 2017 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
    Where: Youth Program Room

    Can't stop singing along to Moana? Come make plans for our interactive showing of Moana, which will be held on Thursday, July 27. Also, help plan library spaces and programs for kids in grades 5-8. Snacks will be served. Grades 5-8. Sign-up starts June 5 for Wilmette & Kenilworth residents, June 12 for nonresidents.
  • Andertoons Cartooning: Creative Cartooning
    When: Thursday, June 29, 2017 - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
    Where: Auditorium

    Make your own cartoons with expressive faces, bodies in motion, and more! Grades 4-8. Registration starts June 15 for Wilmette & Kenilworth residents and June 22 for nonresidents.
